Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for a secure interconnect between data modules, including a security apparatus within a secured data connection device (50) installed with a security chip (54). The connection device (50) may be authenticated prior to enabling a stacking feature. Authentication of a connection device may be used to ensure the quality and performance of the connection device (50) and the data modules.
