    摘要: The present disclosure relates to a method of a fingerprint sensing system (110) arranged in a smartcard (100) configured to acquire fingerprint data of a user with a fingerprint sensor (102) for biometric authentication, and a fingerprint sensing system performing the method. In an aspect, a method of a fingerprint sensing system (110) arranged in a smartcard (100) is provided, the fingerprint sensing system (110) being configured to acquire fingerprint data of a user with a fingerprint sensor (102) for biometric authentication. The method comprises detecting (S501) a finger of the user contacting a sensing area of the fingerprint sensor (102), initializing (S502) the fingerprint sensor (102) with a predetermined sensor setting, acquiring (S503), for the finger being detected to contact the sensing area of the fingerprint sensor (102), a calibration sub-image which is confined in size to a subarea of the sensing area, determining (S504) whether or not a quality criterion is met for the acquired calibration sub-image, and if so acquiring (S505) one or more further sub-images confined in size to a subarea of the sensing area, and combining (S506) a plurality of the acquired further sub-images into a representation of a fingerprint of the user, wherein the further sub-images are acquired during a time period when the smartcard (100) is not engaged in waiting time extension, WTX, request signalling with a card reader (200) with which the smartcard (100) performs contactless communication.

    摘要: The invention relates to methods and devices for updating biometric template protection keys. In an aspect of the invention, a method performed by a network node (300) is provided of updating at least one stored feature transformation key with which a set of biometric data of a user (200) initially has been transformed at a first client device (100) at which the biometric data of the user was captured and enrolled with the network node (300), which set of transformed biometric data of the user is stored at a biometric data verification node (400) without the biometric data verification node (400) having access to the feature transformation key. The method comprises determining (S302) that said at least one stored transformation key is to be updated, generating (S303) random data, computing (S304) at least one new feature transformation key based on said random data, replacing (S305) the at least one stored feature transformation key with the computed at least one new feature transformation key, and transmitting (S306) the generated random data to the biometric data verification node (400), wherein the biometric data verification node (400) uses the generated random data to update the at least one set of transformed biometric data which initially was transformed using the replaced at least one feature transformation key.
