Abstract: Decorative items for adorning headphone cords may be removeably and nondestructively engaged with the cord using a groove that frictionally engages the cord. The decorative item may comprise an object having a lateral surface, and the groove may extend multiple turns around that lateral surface. The object may be cylindrical, with the lateral surface extending between two opposing circular faces. The groove may extend helically from a first circular face to the second circular face, and may further provide for the cord to be engaged with the groove from one face to the other.

Abstract: In one implementation, a graphical object classification system includes an acquisition module, a signature generation module, and a classification module. The acquisition module accesses a representation of a graphical object. The signature generation module generates an appearance-invariant signature of the graphical object based on the representation. The classification module classifies the graphical object based on the appearance-invariant signature.

Abstract: An image registration method to register a target image with a reference image is provided, including to determine a target set of features present in the target image, to determine a reference set of features present in the reference image, to generate respective signatures for each feature in the target and reference sets, to match features from the target set to corresponding features in the reference set using the signatures, to generate respective transformations to map pairs of features in the target set to corresponding pairs of features in the reference set, and determine a similarity transformation for the target image using a measure of the accuracy of the transformations.
