    Abstract: An integrated solar roofing system for installation on a roof surface and for converting solar energy into electrical energy. The system comprises a first row of photovoltaic (PV) roofing tiles having a plurality of electrically interconnected PV cells. The roofing tiles comprise a first tab that extends from the tile base and has at least one mounting hole. The first tab exposes a first electrically conductive material on the first side of the first tab. The roofing tiles further comprise a second tab located on the second side of the tile base and having at least one mounting hole extending through the second tab and tile base. The second tab exposes a second electrically conductive material on the second side of the tile base. The first tab of each roofing tile in the first row is at least partially superposed over the second tab of an adjacent roofing tile aligning the mounting holes so that the roofing tiles are in electrical series communication along the first row. The system further comprises a second row of PV roofing tiles partially overlapping the first row such that the first and second tabs of the first row are concealed.

    Abstract: A drum for storage and transportation of a coil, the drum comprises a base having a bottom part configured to rest on a planar horizontal surface. A hollow core having a polygonal cross-sectional shape extends from the top side of the base. A cover also extends from the top side of the base and has an inner wall in the form of a circular cylinder. The cover is spaced from the core, forming an annular space for receiving a coil of cable, tubing or the like. The core is composed of a plurality of substantially planar parts hinged to one another so that the core can be collapsed and stored or shipped in a substantially flat condition and expanded to its polygonal shape for connection to the base. The cover is composed of two or more arc-shaped parts, which are capable of being nested for storage and shipment.

    Abstract: A reel comprises a cylindrical core composed of two complementary arcuate core segments, a pair of flanges disposed respectively at axially spaced opposite ends of the core, and a pair of rings for connecting the core to the flanges. The rings are fixed respectively to facing inner sides of the flanges. Cooperating slots and tongues on the rings and core elements prevent the flanges from moving relative to the core in the direction of the axis of the core. The tongues enter the slots when the core segments are brought together. Resiliently bendable locking arms protrude radially inward from both ends of each core segment, and each locking arm is engageable by a snap fit with one of the rings when the core segments are brought together. Access openings in the flanges adjacent each of the locking arms allow access to the locking arms for disengagement from the rings.
