Abstract:
Devices are provided which include a component assembly for detecting inward, outward and sideways door movement. A component of the assembly extending from a structure comprises a distal end for contacting a door face when the structure is arranged in proximity to the door face. Systems are provided which include a portable stand, a door movement sensor attached to the stand, a proximity sensor, and a user interface. The system is configured to transmit signals to the user interface when the proximity sensor has been placed a predetermined distance from a door face and when door movement occurs. Apparatuses are provided which include program instructions for receiving input regarding a number of entryways of a room and inhibiting commencement of a task for which an apparatus arranged in the room is configured to perform until a number of signals received from a door movement sensor equals the number of entryways.

Apparatuses are disclosed which include a discharge lamp (22) configured to emit ultraviolet light, a power circuit (26) configured to operate the discharge lamp, and a reflector system (60) configured to redirect ultraviolet light emitted from the discharge lamp. In addition, systems are disclosed which include processor-executable program instructions for receiving data regarding characteristics of a room in which one or more disinfection sources are arranged and determining, based on the received data, individual operating parameter/s for the one or more disinfection sources. Yet other systems include processor-executable program instructions for discerning, for each of a plurality of disinfection sources, a target location, region, object or surface within a room in which the disinfection sources are arranged, comparing the target locations/regions/objects/surfaces, and executing corrective action/s upon detecting two or more locations/objects/surfaces are within a predetermined distance of each other and/ or upon detecting two or more regions overlap.

The apparatuses disclosed herein include a discharge lamp 104 configured to emit ultraviolet and visible light, an optical filter 106 configured to attenuate visible light, and a power circuit configured to operate the discharge lamp and optionally contained in a support structure 102. Some embodiments of the apparatuses are configured such that ultraviolet light emitted from the discharge lamp and passed through the optical filter encircles an exterior surface of the apparatus. Some cases of the apparatuses include a sensor system configured to monitor a first parameter associated with the operation of the discharge lamp and a second parameter associated with the transmit- tance of the optical filter. Some of the apparatuses include a means for moving the optical filter while the apparatus is in operation. In some cases, the apparatuses may be configured such that the optical filter may be arranged in and out of alignment with the discharge lamp. In some embodiments, the optical filter may be multifaceted.
