The hose (10) is constructed of a tubular member (12) and a reinforcement strip (14) at least partially embedded in the tubular member (12). The reinforcement strip (14) is wound in a helical pattern encircling a central lumen (16) of the tubular body (12). The material forming the reinforcement strip (14) has a greater initial modulus than the material forming the tubular member (12).
