Abstract: The invention relates to a device for measuring tensile forces at any desired location along a chain. The device comprises a load take-up body (10) which has a chain-link engaging member (12) on each end thereof and which is intended to take-up the tensile load between the chain-link engaging members (12), and further comprises a means (20) for measuring and indicating the tensile load taken-up by the body (10).
