Abstract:
An airbag system for protecting a body part of a user (3) in case of an accident is provided. The system comprises an airbag (20) adapted for inflation upon an accident occurring during an intended activity, at least one sensor (80; 85) configured to measure movements of the airbag system (100), and thus indirect the movements of the user (3) and a control unit (50) configured to determine if the user (3) is in a first activity state not corresponding to the intended activity by processing the output from the at least one sensor (80; 85).
Abstract:
An airbag (20) for protecting the head of a user in case of an accident is hereby presented. The airbag comprises an inflatable inner bag (21, 40, 50, 60) surrounded by an outer bag (22), wherein the structure of the outer bag (22) defines the shape of the airbag (20) when the inner bag (21) is inflated, and wherein said inner bag (21, 40, 50, 60) comprises a plurality of elongate first chambers (28, 29, 210, 211, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 65, 66, 69, 610, 611, 612, 613, 614), each of which elongate first chambers forms a head protective part when inflated.
Abstract:
A method for alerting a user of a wearable airbag system (10) is provided. The method (200) comprises the steps of i) ensuring (220) that the airbag system (10) is active, ii) checking (230) the current location of the airbag system (10), iii) calling (240) a server (15) storing a plurality of locations, each location being associated with an increased risk for an accident, and iv) if the current location of the airbag system (10) is close to a stored location, further performing a step of alerting (250) the user.
Abstract:
An airbag system (10) comprising an airbag and a detachable shell enclosing the airbag when the airbag is in a non-inflated state, and at least one size adjustment means. Further, an inflatable helmet having such airbag system (10), and an item of apparel (11) having such airbag system (10) are provided.
Abstract:
An airbag system for protecting a body part of a user (3) in case of an accident is provided, comprising an airbag (15) arranged as a collar (10). The collar (10) comprises a first fastening body (31) and a second fastening body (32). The first fastening body (31) comprises at least one magnet (35) arranged near at least one sensor (36), and the second fastening body (32) comprises a shield (34) operable to magnetically shield the at least one sensor (36) from the at least one magnet (35).
Abstract:
An airbag system for protecting a body part of a user (3) in case of an accident is provided. The system (100) comprises an airbag (15) arranged as a collar (10), wherein the collar (10) comprises interlocking means (20; 30; 40) arranged to connect the ends of the collar (10). The interlocking means (20; 30; 40) comprises a first fastening body (21; 31; 41) and a second fastening body (22; 32; 42), and the interlocking means (20; 30; 40) is configured to be arranged in a first locking position or a second locking position when the first fastening body (21; 31; 41) and the second fastening body (22; 32; 42) are connected to each other.
Abstract:
A protective system is provided comprising an airbag system (100) for protecting a body part of a user (3) in case of an accident, comprising a control unit (50) and a communication interface (90). The protective system further comprises an external device (200) comprising communication means. The communication interface (90) of the airbag system (100) is configured to communicate with said external device (200) using wireless communication.
Abstract:
A method of detecting a non-normal state while avoiding misclassification of a normal state is provided. The method comprises training a classifier to detect samples of non-normal activity while avoiding misclassifications of normal activities. This method may be used in any applications where a solid database of samples from normal activity is available.
