Abstract: Graphics information resulting from operation of applications is directed to a set of visible windows. A set of graphics contexts is provided having fixed associations with the applications. A set of variable associations is provided between the graphics contexts and the windows, so that varying the windows to which graphics information resulting from operation of the applications is directed is accomplished by varying the associations between the graphics contexts and the windows.

Abstract: A post-foaming gel composition for use in an aerosol container which composition comprises a base material, said base material consisting at least of a detergent such as an anionic surfactant and a thickener which is preferably an alkanolamide, a glyceryl ester or derivative or blend thereof with betaine or a gum. The base material has a viscosity of at least 9,500 cps, preferably at least 20,000 cps or higher. A foam forming propellant gas such as pentane is mixed with the base material, the propellant being maintained in suspension in the composition until the composition is dispensed from an aerosol.

Abstract: Devices and methods for detecting radiation are described. A detector for detecting radiation comprises a housing containing an ionisable gas, an array of anode wires extending substantially in a first plane, and arranged to be held at a first potential for attracting electrons, and at least one cathode wire spaced in a predetermined relationship from the anode wires, arranged to be held at a second, lower potential. The detector further comprises at least one additional electrode positioned adjacent a periphery of the array of anode wires, and arranged to be held at a third potential, greater than the second potential. A window for a radiation detector is described and comprising a housing containing an ionisable gas is also described. The window comprises a layer formed of an electrically conductive material forming an electrode, a layer formed of a plastic, arranged to support the layer formed of electrically conductive material, and a layer of gas impermeable material.
