摘要： A hand-held dispensing device for dispensing a substance, the device comprising: a dispenser incorporating: i) a dispenser body defining a dispensing chamber for holding the substance; ii) an outlet in communication with the dispensing chamber; iii) a dispensing mechanism for dispensing the contents of the dispensing chamber through the outlet and iv) an actuating member resiliently mounted for movement relative to the dispenser body, against the action of a biasing member, to actuate the dispensing mechanism; the dispenser being operably connected to a handle for manual sliding movement relative to the handle from a non-use position, in which the handle covers the outlet, to an operative position, in which the outlet is uncovered; the device further comprising a locking assembly for releasably locking the dispenser body to the handle in the operative position to prevent said manual sliding movement of the dispenser body, whereby a user may grasp the handle and effect manual movement of the actuating member relative to the handle and the dispenser body, against the action of the biasing member, so as to actuate the dispensing mechanism and dispense the contents of the dispensing chamber through the uncovered outlet.

摘要： A method of tracking software application downloads over the internet from an application server to the user's device in response to a user clicking on a web advertisement for the software application. Clicking on the web advertisement causes the user's device web browser to link to a tracking server which creates a unique identifier which is stored by the user's device browser, for example as a cookie, and which is also stored on the tracking server together with an indication of the web page including the advertisement, the user's device IP address and other information. The tracking server then redirects the user's device web browser to a web site from which the desired software application can be downloaded. The software application includes executable code which, upon first execution of the software application while connected to the internet, suspends the downloaded application and starts the browser, directing it to the tracking server. The tracking server sends the user's device browser-executable code causing the browser to retrieve the unique identifier and return it to the tracking server directly and/or pass it to the software application for transmission to the tracking server together with identification of the device and software application. The tracking server then uses the unique identifier to correlate the information on the downloaded application with the information originally stored at the time of clicking on the web advertisement. The tracking server then delivers browser-executable code to the user's device to cause it to resume the downloaded application.

摘要： A method of displaying medical data, particularly data representative of the condition of patients suffering from chronic medical conditions such as asthma, diabetes and hypertension. The display consists of two graphical elements, one of which indicates the current value of a parameter indicative of the patient's condition, this being displayed against another graphical element which represents a model of normality for that patient. The graphical element indicating the current condition may be, for example, a needle, against a scale which is constructed according to the patient-specific model of normality. This is particularly advantageous in the case of displays which have a small display area, such as mobile telephones and PDAs. Other forms of display are disclosed, such as histograms with the display being dynamically colour-coded and auto-scaled, or displays including limits which may vary. Another form of display is also disclosed which illustrates administrations of a pharmacological agent and corresponding measurements of the patient's condition, with a visual link such as colour-coding linking the administration to the corresponding condition measurement. For example several days of insulin administration dosages may be displayed alongside several days of blood glucose measurements, with the administrations colour-coded to the corresponding blood glucose measurement, to assist the patient in determining whether the insulin administration is stably controlling their condition.

摘要： A method of extending a data communications network service provided over cellular telephones or telephony-enabled PDAs and transmitting and receiving messages via the Internet, by providing for an existing user node of the data communications network service to form an invitation message to a potential new user node, which invitation message is sent to a server via the data communications network service, passed by the server to the potential new user node by a different communications service e.g. SMS, and on acceptance by the potential new user node, a software application providing for the new user node to be incorporated into the data communications network service is automatically downloaded to the new user node. Following automatic download of the software application both user nodes are then provided by the server with each other's contact details within the data communications network service by placing dummy messages each appearing to be from the other node in respective inboxes for the user nodes.
