Abstract:
A polyurethane resin useful for the production of a heat-insulating sash with a coated aluminum frame in which displacement (void caused by peeling) caused by shrinkage and expansion due to hot-cold cycles does not occur so that rain water can not enter the heat-insulating sash. The linear expansion ratio of the polyurethane resin is decreased by including wollastonite in the polyurethane-forming resin.
Abstract:
An optical recording medium comprises a plurality of identifiers (106, 107) in association with address information (108), wherein: each identifier is provided on the optical recording medium; and each identifier comprises at least one of: a first pattern provided on the optical recording medium and representing a first code expressed by one bit; a second pattern provided on the optical recording medium and representing a second code expressed by one bit; and a third pattern provided on the optical recording medium and representing a third code expressed by one bit.
Abstract:
A recording medium comprising a recording area, the recording area includes a first area and a second area, the first area includes a frame area, the frame area includes an area in which a second synchronization code sequence and at least a portion of data are to be recorded, and the second area includes an area of linking frames in which a third synchronization code sequence (PA) and a fourth synchronization code sequence (VFO) are to be recorded.
Abstract:
An optical disk and a method for identifying the optical disk are provided which make it possible to identify a recording system of the optical disk easily in a short time by a recording and reproduction apparatus when a groove-recording system and a land-recording system are both employed in one kind of optical disk, for, example, a BD-R. Specifically, the polarity upon reproducing the wobble information is made to be the same in both of the optical disk of groove-recording system and the optical disk of land-recording system. The recording system of the optical disk that shows the same wobble polarity irrespective of the recording system can be easily detected by finding a tracking polarity that can recognize the wobble information by changing the tracking polarity, whereby the start-up time of the recording and reproduction apparatus can be shortened.
Abstract:
The optical data recording method comprising the steps of: modulating data to be recorded, to generate a plurality of recording modulation codes; and emitting a pulse-like light beam to an optical disc, so that a plurality of recording marks and spaces which have lengths corresponding to the plurality of recording modulation codes are formed on the optical disc. In the optical data recording method, at least two of the plurality of recording marks comprises: a first pulse which is disposed at a front and forms a leading edge of the recording mark, a last pulse which is disposed at a backend and forms a trailing edge of the recording mark, and a multi-pulse train which is disposed between the first pulse and the last pulse and forms a center of the recording mark. The multi-pulse train has a pulse period longer than T which represents a reference period of the recording modulation code.
Abstract:
With the disc-shaped recording medium, or the disc manufacturing method according to the present invention, for both the single-layer disc and the multi-layer disc, a recording layer L0, which is to be the first layer, is at the same distance, along the direction of disc thickness, from the surface of the cover layer CVLs on which falls the laser light. For the multi-layer disc, the second layer L1 and the following layer(s) are formed at the locations which are closer to the cover layer CVLs than the first layer L0. Management information may be recorded by mobbling grooves, each layermay have tert areas, defect information, a replacement area. Thus, it is possible to improve compatibility, reliability and accessibility between a single-layer disc and a multi-layer disc. The spherical aberration for the recording/reproducing light may be controlled with respect to the selected layer.
Abstract:
An optical disk from which address information is read stably and efficiently. The optical disk has a plurality of tracks each of which is divided into a plurality of recording sectors and each recording sector has a header area. In the header area, address information for recognizing the position of the corresponding recording section and address synchronization information for bit synchronization by recognizing the recording position of the address information are recorded. The address information is modulated with a run length limiting code of maximum inversion interval Tmax bits (Tmax is a natural number) and the address synchronization information includes two patterns of inversion interval (Tmax+3) bits. Therefore, the reproduced signal of the address synchronization information is distinguished from the reproduced signals of other information.
Abstract:
A plastic film, which is not reduced in width, free of wrinkles and is excellent in quality, can be obtained with good productivity by the use of an apparatus, in which two driving rolling rolls and a non-driven rolling roll disposed between the two driving rolling rolls and driven by rotation of the two driving rolling rolls are disposed along a plastic film conveying path so as to continuously contact with each other to thereby form two points of rolling deformation for stepwise rolling of plastics.
