Abstract: A crane has a crane boom which is provided with a tagline system for controlling a load lifted by the crane, e.g. a wind turbine rotor blade in horizontal orientation. The tagline system comprises a guide wire (10) and a tagline assembly, which comprises a tagline (15), a tagline winch (16), and a travelling block that is mounted on the guide wire for travel along the guide wire. The tagline system further comprises at a relocatable traverse (30) which is configured to be mounted on the crane boom and to project from the crane boom. The traverse provides, at a spacing from the crane boom, a support for the guide wire. The relocatable traverse is mountable at a selected one of the multiple mounting locations (25-28) along the crane boom.

Abstract: The invention relates to an offshore system comprising a vessel, a moveable cantilever arranged on the vessel with cantilever rails and a transverse connection at a free end of the cantilever, and a drilling installation with a tower structure including vertically extending support structures arranged on the cantilever above the transverse connection and/or above one of the cantilever rails seen in plan view and supporting a hoisting device and a pipe racker. As a result thereof, the weight of the drilling installation can be transferred via side walls of the cantilever and the cantilever rails to the vessel in an efficient manner without having to add additional strengthening and thus weight to the cantilever.

Abstract: Method for six-o'clock installation of a wind turbine blade on a horizontal axis rotational hub that is arranged on top of a tower of a wind turbine, wherein the wind turbine blade has a root end and a tip end. By means of a lifting device mounted on a land based vehicle or on a vessel, a wind turbine blade is brought into a pre-installation position, wherein the wind turbine blade is in a generally vertical orientation and underneath the blade mounting structure in said six-o'clock position. The lifting device is provided with a boom and with a wind turbine blade root end spatial orienting and support device that comprises a base mounted to said boom, and a multiple degrees of freedom movable blade root end retainer that is supported on said base via multiple actuators allowing multiple degrees of freedom of the movable blade root end retainer relative to the base.

Abstract: A semi-submersible drilling vessel has a deckbox structure, one or more pontoons, and multiple support columns extending upward from the one or more pontoons and supporting thereon the deckbox structure. An annular riser joints storage caisson extends downwardly from the deckbox structure, wherein the storage caisson delimits an annular storage space configured for storage therein of an annular array of riser joints in vertical orientation thereof. A riser joints carousel device is provided in the annular storage space, which riser joints carousel device is configured to carry an annular array of riser joints in vertical orientation thereof in a mobile manner relative to the annular storage caisson so that the array of riser joints is movable along an annular path through the storage spaced between the inner and outer wall of the storage caisson. The deckbox structure is provided with a riser joint transfer passage at a riser joint transfer location above the annular path of the riser joints carried by the riser joints carousel device through the storage space. The vessel is provided with a riser joint vertical transfer device configured to lift and lower a riser joint out of and into the riser joints carousel device, passing therein vertically through the riser joint transfer passage of the deckbox structure.
