Abstract: A clevis hanger pipe support (10) includes a bottom pipe-receiving portion (14) and a top portion (12) for coupling to structure such as a threaded rod. The portions (12, 14)are releasably held together by an unthreaded fastener (16), such as a retaining pin or a retaining bar. The top (12) and bottom (14) portions of the clevis hanger (10) have respective apertures (40, 42, 54, 56) which, when aligned, allow the fastener (16) to be inserted or removed, thereby mechanically coupling or de-coupling the top (12) and bottom (14) portions of the clevis hanger. When the apertures of the top and bottom portion are misaligned from one another, extraction of the fastener (16) from the apertures (40, 42, 54, 56) is prevented. The apertures (40, 42, 54, 56) may be elongated slots. The fastener (16) may be a suitably-shaped pin or bar.
