Abstract: Read image data is segmented into a plurality of regions in accordance with the attribute of the image data. A region to be printed using a transparent toner is set in accordance with the attributes of the plurality of segmented regions. A preview of the image represented by the image data is displayed, in which the region set to be printed using the transparent toner is distinguished from the remaining regions. An instruction to change the region to be printed using the transparent toner is accepted based on the displayed preview. Print data for the transparent toner to print, using the transparent toner, a region determined based on the change instruction to be printed using the transparent toner is generated.
