Abstract: An instrument for measuring magnetic fields is characterized by an automatic zero point adjustment during initial operation, an automatic measurement range selection, an automatic switching of the display from a time-constant field to an alternating field and an optional peak value display. The instrument is operated by means of a single push-button arranged on the probe body. The type of field is indicated by a multicoloured signal lamp on the probe.
