Abstract: A flowable base material is guided from a pretreatment vessel through a transfer line (13) into several main-treatment vessels (14). A flowable additive, supplied from a tank (28) by a volumetric pump (29), is introduced into the dosing cylinder (33) of a dosing device (25). In the transfer phase, in which the base material passes through the transfer line (13), additive is injected through an injection line (24) from the dosing device (25) into the transfer line (13) so that the resultant mixture of base material and additive enters the main-treatment vessel (14). The injection phase starts with a delay after the beginning of the transfer phase and ends at a time prior to the end of the transfer phase.
