Abstract: A VTOL aircraft is having four electric fans (3a, 3b, 4a, 4b) distributed around the centre of gravity of the aircraft. Of the four electric fans, two (3a, 3b) are set into openings through the body (1)and two (4a, 4b) are rotatable about an axis to provide either horizontal thrust or vertical thrust. Optionally a multi-mode hybrid turbine engine (5) may be provided at the rear of the aircraft.
