Abstract: a crawler type vibratory compacting machine capable of compacting a surface layer portion to a deep layer portion of soil with a high efficiency. This machine is provided with a triangular crawler unit formed by passing one wide crawler belt (35) or a plurality of adjacently arranged crawler belts (35a, 35b, 35c) around wheels (32, 34) provided at front, rear and upper portions of a track frame (31), and a vibration generator (40) provided in the crawler unit. The left and right ends of a central portion of the crawler unit and arms (20) extending from a machine body (10) having a driver's seat (11) are pin-connected together by a first lateral shaft (23).
