The invention is about a permanent total artificial heart device that is developed for the patients who are at the end-stage heart failure and included in the heart transplantation program, and which is placed into the ventricles of the patient's heart completely or placed surgically into the space obtained when a piece of ventricle is removed. The device employs "direct drive technology," technically using the advantages of brushless electric motors. Special-designed engines require quite little energy for the pulsatile blood flow produced by stopping and starting synchronously with the ECG signals. It is about a permanent total artificial heart device system that will offer high quality of life for many years to the patients as it protects the heart valves and heart conduction system, has wireless charging and longer battery life.

The invention is a next generation miniature heart assist device which has been developed in order to maintain the blood circulation in patients with severe heart failure, and is applied endovascularly to the large arteries such as the assending aorta and/or the pulmonary artery. This device is technically a kind of synchronous servo electric motor using "direct drive technology". As it consumes much less energy because of its small volume and extraordinary design, it provides longer battery life and high blood flow. Small volume and very low energy consumption due to the unusual design of the engine in order to provide a much longer battery life and a high blood flow. As the outer surface of the parts placed into the blood vessel will be completely covered with the endothelial cells and the intima layer of the arteries in time, there will be no foreign surface contacting directly with blood. As a result, no thromboembolic event or any negative effect on the cellular components of blood is expected. The invention is a new generation heart assist device applied endovascularly to great arteries with its success and high reliability.

The invention is a heart assist device which has been developed in order to maintain the blood circulation in end-stage heart patients who do not respond to medical treatment, and it has been designed in size and shape so that it can be installed into the anatomically spacious root sections of the aorta and main pulmonary artery. With its small volume, and exceptional motor design without a shaft, the device, which contains a brushless, asynchronous and three-phase electric motor, will consume much less energy. The three-phase current required for the motor is provided from the power supply outside the body through the synchronous and wireless transmission of three phases. Asynchronous motor inside the body and its wireless power transmission apparatus have been used for many years and this technology is not expected to change. When it comes to all electric and electronic apparatus out of the body, it will be possible for all of them including the microprocessor to be updated constantly and replaced easily with the advances in technology. The invention is about a permanent endovascular cardiac support device which contains a three-phase, brushless, asynchronous electric motor, and the required energy is provided through the three-phase wireless power transmission from outside the body.

This device is a sort of brushless, synchronous, servo, electric motor which uses direct driver technology. Since it consumes little energy because of its small volume and extrordinary motor design, it provides high blood flow with its long lasting battery. The specially designed hollow rotor without a pivot pin which revolves on the rollers made of nonabrasive ceramic-like materials provide enough blood flow to the patient by pushing the blood forward with the helical winglets inside it. There are winglets smoothing blood flow in the inlet of the device and there are winglets regulating turbulence in the blood flow in the outlet of the device. The risk of thromboembolic events on the foreign surface that contacts with blood is less than in the counterparts of this device which provides a flow similar to the natural flow of aorta with the curved parts in the inlet and outlet of the device. Finally, the invention; is a curved permanent heart assist device that is applied on the aortas, reinforced twice with double stators and designed in smaller size so as not to compress surrounding tissues and organs.

The invention is about a next-generation blood pump that provides pulsatile blood flow, and has been developed for cardiopulmonary by-pass devices used for maintaining extracorporeal blood circulation during heart surgeries and the supportive devices of circulation system. This device is technically a sort of synchronous power-assisted motor employing direct driver technology. The mentioned blood pump contains a rotor rotating on a magnetic bearing without a shaft and through the helical wings placed into the rotor it provides pulsatile blood supply adequate for the body requirement synchronous with the ECG signals received from the patients. It provides a patient safer and controlled pulsatile blood flow while running at high efficiency.
