Abstract: According to the method, the foodstuffs are placed in a container (50), the container (50) is placed in a wrapper (40) containing practical utensils and condiments (52-57, 59 and 60), a plurality of filled and sealed wrappers (40) are arranged in several groups in a storage and display enclosure (3), the filled wrappers (40) are dispensed one at a time and delivered to each consumer, heating devices (10-11) are provided which can be programmed according to a consumer's selection, and the heating devices (10-11) are switched on if and when the consumer inserts the container (50) with the foodstuffs after having removed them from the wrapper (40) and separated them from the utensils (52-57, 59 and 60).
