A timepiece comprises a mechanical or electromechanical movement and is provided with a digital display (204, 316, 416, 530) consisting of four drums which are cinematically connected to each other, wherein the first drum (204) displays minutes by means of a scale (0-1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9), the second drum (316) displays tens of minutes by means of a scale (0-1-2-3-4-5), the third drum (416) displays hours by means of a scale graduation (0-1-2-3-4-5- 6-7-8-9) and the fourth drum (530) displays tens of hours by means of a scale (0-1-2), thereby enabling the four drums (204, 316, 416, 530) to provide a current time digital display around-the-clock. Said invention is characterised in that the third drum (416) comprises first means interacting with second means carried by the fourth drum (530) in such a way that said third drum (416) is enabled to move forward to one division per hour in normal time, i.e. between 00h00 and 23h59 and to pass from the division "3" to the division "0" when the display passes from 23h59 to 00h00.

The invention concerns a timepiece such as a wristwatch comprising a dual time zone mechanism for indicating a reference time corresponding to the time of a location where the user of the watch normally lives and a local time corresponding to the time of a location where the user is temporarily residing. The invention is characterized in that it comprises a core (18) associated with two levers (20, 25) controlled by a common push-button (P; 29), the time shift between the local time and the time zone being adjustable by moving at least one of the levers about the core, the time shift between said local time and said reference time being determined by the position of one lever (25) relative to the other (20).

The inventive timepiece comprises a watch movement, a calendar date mechanism (124) and a pair of hour and minute hands (10, 12) displaying a civil time and an additional minute hand (16) which displays a true minute and is driven by a true time display mechanism, wherein the day position of the true time minute hand (16) is determined by the position of a time equation cam (64) rotationally driven at one revolution per year by the calendar data mechanism (124). Said timepiece is characterised in that comprises a longitude adjusting mechanism (102) which makes it possible to put the true time minute hand (16) forward or back at a value of 1/-30 minutes by temporarily uncoupling it from the watch movement.

The invention relates to a method of decorating a timepiece having at least one flat surface, comprising the following steps: fixing the object to an object holder, the surface being situated in a plane XY normal to an axis Z intersecting the surface at a point O 2 ; turning a cutting tool about an axis C forming an angle aX with the Z axis in the ZX plane; and machining the surface with the cutting tool by relative movement between the object holder and the tool, the movement being a combination of translation on the X axis at a speed of advance v, and rotation about the Z axis at an angular speed ?, v and ? being continuous functions of the time t, in such a way as to produce a spiral pattern in a single pass of the cutting tool.
