    摘要： In traction cleat and receptacle system in a shoe outsole, unauthorized cleats are prevented from connection to a receptacle by a projection in the receptacle cavity and a recess in the cleat attachment stem for receiving the projection. A locking arrangement includes an annular array of twelve locking teeth on a, boss surrounding the receptacle cavity, wherein every fourth tooth has a steeper side angle to in cooperate with mating cleat locking posts. A cylindrical shroud prevents the locking posts from damaging the outsole material during cleat rotation.

    摘要： A golf tee includes a visible indicium (e.g., color, markings, letters, etc) corresponding to a tee length and part of a coding scheme assigning unique visible indicia to respective tee lengths and/or golf club configurations. A point of purchase display includes a chart correlating tee lengths with identifiers for golf club configurations, brands and models. The chart follows the same coding scheme used on the golf tees. Separate compartments in the point of purchase display contain golf tees of the same length. Appropriate visible indicia are printed on adjacent compartments containing corresponding length tees. Bags containing tees of the same length have visible indicia printed thereon matching visible indicia in the chart . A method for merchandising golf tees provides a chart correlating tee lengths with identifiers for a plurality of different golf clubs, and provides tees in containers having unique visual indicia for each tee length.

    摘要： A thinner shoe mounted receptacle results from a thin cleat attachment flange received in a shallow receptacle cavity. An angled interface between the cleat and receptacle provide a friction fit engagement to minimize inadvertent disengagement of the cleat and receptacle. Rotational locking occurring inside or outside the cavity further prevents inadvertent cleat rotation. Multiple positionally synchronized angular stops positively define the final angular orientation of the cleat in the receptacle.

    摘要： Adjustable traction is provided in a traction cleat by selectively restricting or not the amount of flexure permitted for a dynamic traction element on the cleat. Restricting flexure is alternatively achieved by an adjustably positionable ring or by rotating the cleat to align the dynamic element with different shoe sole topographical features. A dual locking post is provided to reduce the surface area required on the cleat hub for locking structures. The cleat is formed in a two shot molding process that permits elongations of the dynamic traction elements without sacrificing the integrity of the cleat structure.
