    Abstract: A trusted train derailment avoidance control system supported on a train operable to travel a fixed track, and comprising an inertial measurement unit. The IMU estimates a current position of the train based on initial position and movement data measured by the IMU. One or more aiding systems are operable to generate supplemental position data. An error correction component corrects drift in the IMU and generates an updated estimated current position based on the positon solutions from the IMU and the one or more aiding systems. A velocity management component determines whether a current velocity of the train exceeds a predetermined threshold velocity for the updated estimated current position, and initiates a derailment avoidance measure in accordance with a determination that the threshold velocity is exceeded. The trusted train derailment avoidance control system is self-contained to the train, not relying on outside sources to generate any estimated current positions.

    Abstract: A process detects anomalies on a controller area network (CAN) bus. An arbitration field in a message on the CAN bus is analyzed, and a data field in the message on the CAN bus is inspected. The process further monitors a frequency of message identifiers that are transmitted across the CAN bus, and determines that an overall bus load crosses a threshold. The process then transmits an alert when the analyzing the arbitration field, the inspecting the data field, the monitoring the frequency, and the determining the overall bus load indicate that an anomaly has occurred on the CAN bus.

    Abstract: An explosive device includes a housing having an outer surface and defining an inner space; a plurality of primary liners arranged on the outer surface in a spaced pattern and having primary energetic material inwardly positioned in the housing relative to the primary liners; an initiation mechanism in the inner space for initiating the primary energetic material to drive the primary liners; and a plurality of additional liners positioned in the spaced pattern between the primary liners and having additional energetic material positioned in proximity to the primary energetic material such that the additional energetic material is sympathetically initiated by initiation of the primary energetic material.     Abstract: The present disclosure sets forth a rigid, self-aligning radio frequency ("RF") connector comprising a rigid body with a first connection end and a second connection end opposite the first connection end. The RF connector can also comprise a recess disposed on an outer surface of the rigid body between the first and second connection ends, and a collapsible connector support that can comprise a connection portion and a collapsible portion. The collapsible connector support can be disposed within and protrude from the recess while also being configured to collapse into the recess. The collapsible connector support can also be configured to interface with an interfacing surface to facilitate generation of a reaction force sufficient to support the RF connector in an offset position relative to the interfacing surface and to nominally align the RF connector with a device to be connected.
