Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for producing a wide-angle picture, in particular a panoramic picture. It proposes the following procedural steps and a device operating according to this method in order to take the most complete wide angle or panoramic picture possible in a single moment of recording: reflection of the picture to be taken on a rotationally symmetrical mirror structure (1,1') to the picture recording plane (2); recording of the reflected image; conversion of the image recorded into digital imagery; processing of the digital imagery in a computer to correct the image distortion caused by reflection and to display the image.
