Abstract: The present invention relates to the production of solid state lasers of dyes of the family of rodamines. More specifically, it relates to lasers wherein said dye or chromophor is covalently anchored to a solid matrix, and comprises an organic polymer which is transparent and sufficiently stable to the pumping radiation. Application to the production of laser emission by means of an organic dye in a solid matrix and polymers containing rodamines.
