Abstract:
Method for controlling an automatic stall-prevention of a rotation-speed- regulated centrifugal fan. What is essential in the invention is that the control automatics is controlled by means of the automation system of the process, in which control automatics stalling is detected from a function of the electric current, voltage and frequency going to the motor of the centrifugal fan.
Abstract:
Method for manufacturing a composite material impeller of a centrifugal compressor or blower, said impeller being mounted directly on the shaft of an electric motor. The composite material impeller is made using an RTM process, wherein the RTM mold has a core and accurately trimmed fabrics placed therein and forming a structure in such a manner that the fabric layers, or preforms, are pulled onto the core thus achieving a maximally optimized use of materials in the structure.

Abstract:
The invention relates to an apparatus for implementing water separation in the vacuum system of a paper machine. The apparatus is characterized by comprising a guiding baffle structure (1) connect to an inlet pipe (8) and a water trap vessel (2) as well as a droplet separation cell (4) mounted at the mouth of an outlet pipe (9).
Abstract:
The invention relates to an apparatus for implementing a ground source heat system and further to a method utilizing the same. The invention is characterized in that the system comprises small-diameter and shallow boreholes (8) or equivalent screwably-sunken metal pipes, such as screw piles or heat pipes inserted in the soil. The pipes (13) are inserted in the boreholes (8) for transferring heat by convection and the pipes (13) are connected to a liquid-filled ground source heat circulation (7) placed in a short trench (6), wherefrom heat is further transferred along an insulated pipe (2) to the heating/cooling system of a building (1) or, vice versa , heat is transferred therefrom into the ground.
Abstract:
Apparatus for moving a tail end from one structural section to another. Essential in the invention is that the apparatus comprises a blowing nozzle (1), a Coanda plate (2), in which holes, apertures or corresponding cuttings (4) have been formed for forming a Coanda effect, and also an air removal plate (3) connected to the Coanda plate.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and device for guiding a paper web, or corresponding web-like moving track, by using jets of compressed air as an aid. There are two jet directions, one essentially facing the arrival direction of the web (1) and the other essentially facing the departure direction of the web (1), in which case the jets form an area of vacuum between them. Compressed air is fed from one or more inlet ducts (3, 6).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and apparatus for passing a web tail being threaded from one paper machine section to another by way of guiding the tail with the help of an air jet from a transfer plate (1). An essential feature of the invention is to employ a construction (3) rising from the surface (2) of the transfer plate (1) to a height (5) with the shape of a linear ramp or a droplet for guiding the web tail in its travel direction (9) thereby minimizing the contact area between the web tail and the transfer plate (1).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for reducing the water and energy consumption of a paper machine with the help of a vacuum system and optimization of web solids content as well as a use of the same. An essential feature of the invention is that, on the paper machine wire section (12), water is removed with the help of a hybrid vacuum system (1) serving first the vacuum locations needing a lower vacuum level and then those requiring a higher vacuum level in such a fashion that the hybrid vacuum system (1) removes water on different sections of the paper machine at the vacuum levels rendering the individually maximized energy efficiency. Additionally the solids content on the wire section (12) is optimized with the help of an un-felted and smooth press roll (13) adapted above the wire suction roll (3).
Abstract:
Method for compensating for uneven shrinkage in a paper web in the press and drying sections of a paper machine, in which there is at least one open draw. In the method, a flow guide/guides are used in the head box, by means of which the machine direction orientation tendency of the fibres is reduced in the edge areas of the web and the angle of detaching of the web from the centre roll is adjusted, by directing onto the web an air jet that is located in the cross direction and the pressure of which can be adjusted in the said direction.
