Abstract: An elastomeric flexible article and method for manufacture has moisture absorbing characteristics. An example of such an article is a disposable protective glove that includes a first layer; and a second layer with an effective amount of super absorbent polymer dispersed therein, the second layer to be closer to a hand than the first layer, when the glove is worn on the hand. The second layer is configured to absorb excess moisture, when the glove is worn for a period of time, to facilitate wet donning and provide for breathability of the skin, and thereby to provide for a comfortable environment for the skin.

Abstract: Disclosed are compositions and methods of enhancing the application of subsequent treatment on an elastomeric skin protection article and articles thereof. Embodiments disclose processes, including creating microscale voids and cracks, adding a surface activator, and rearranging or altering the inside surface of a glove. Subsequent treatment of a material, such as soothing agents, pH controlling substances, herbal oils and powders can coat the inside surface of a glove in a smaller quantity and last longer when added after the glove's inside surface has undergone the enhancing method.

Abstract: The present invention relates to developing a skin pH balancing natural composition coating applied to the inside surface of an elastomeric flexible article, such as single use disposable glove. The skin pH balancing natural composition coating comprises a mixture of amino acids encapsulated in liposomes and monovalent cations encapsulated in liposomes and free fatty acids which enhance the skin barrier function through skin pH balancing.
