Abstract:
The invention concerns a method for manufacturing an electronic device having a channel. The channel has a number of rows and columns for wiring of nets. Usually each wiring layer is dedicated to either the rows or the columns. According to this method certain row segments can be shifted from one wiring layer to another, so that the channel area is used more effectively.
Abstract:
In routing method an improved data structure is used which allows more efficient access to layout information and thus a more efficient processing of the underlying routing method. The data structure comprises a connection graph and a virtual grid for each layer of routing. Every change to the layout is immediatley reflected in the data structure. Based on the resulting layout information contained in the virtual grid mask sets are fabricated to manufacture the device.
