    Abstract: A gas burner assembly (10) for a brooding house has a gas burner (14) which is fabricated from a precision steel stamping process. The gas burner has a venturi tube (56) which extends between an orifice fitting (58) and a burner head (62). The burner head (62) is manufactured from an upper (82) and lower (80) burner head. Each upper and lower burner head defines a plurality of burner channels (88) with the channels of the lower burner head being in registry with channels in the upper burner head to define the ports (106) for the gas burner. The upper and lower burner heads are mechanically connected by a series of tabs (96) and slots (94) formed on the upper and lower burner head.

    Abstract: A mechanical joint tube assembly (10) and method of creating the same is disclosed for providing an improved fluid fitting assembly. A fitting (12) having a primary tapered bore (70) is forced onto tube (14) that has a larger diameter. The tube (14) is radially contracted in certain portions and is radially expanded in other portions of the fitting (12) in order to create a plurality of compression seals (90, 92, 94). A collar (64) of the fitting (12) is crimped around the bead (76) that is formed in the tube (14) in order to provide an additional compression seal (96) and for retaining the tube within the fitting (12). Alternate forms of the primary bore (70) in the fitting (12) includes hexagonal shaped configuration, a splined shaped configuration and a slotted collar configuration for enhancing retention of the tube (14) within the fitting (12). A unique method of manufacturing is used to make these tube fitting assemblies.
