Cleaner concentrates, associated cleaners, and associated methods are disclosed. The cleaner concentrates are capable for use in making cleaners that are capable of removing from surfaces fresh, greasy soils and polymerized soils more recently encountered in the food service industry originating from non-trans-fat oils. The cleaner concentrates include one or more alkalinity sources, one or more chelants, one or more surfactants, and as a remainder, water. The one or more alkalinity sources may be present in an amount sufficient to provide a free alkalinity (expressible as Na 2 O) of greater than about 3.6 wt% and a total alkalinity (expressible as Na 2 O) of greater than about 6.1 wt%, based on the total weight of the cleaner concentrate. The one or more chelants may be present in an amount sufficient to permit a use of a water having a hardness number up to about 600 ppm (600 mg/L) or more.

A substantially nonaqueous concentrate composition is provided comprising an amine oxide surfactant, a water-soluble solvent, a source of alkalinity, a chelating agent and a hydrotrope wherein the concentrate composition is useful in preparing a stable, aqueous totally water soluble solution. The composition may optionally include any one or combination of a nonionic surfactant, anionic surfactant, a corrosion inhibitor, dye, perfume, or preservative. The ultra-concentrated composition of the invention is uniquely suited for multiple delivery methods including coating on a substrate before dilution, or adding the liquid concentrate directly to the diluent.

A packaged cleaning composition concentrate includes a container for holding a cleaning composition concentrate, and a cleaning composition concentrate. The cleaning composition concentrate has a solids content of at lesat about 1 wt.% based on the weight of the cleaning composition concentrate. The cleaning composition concentrate includes a surfactant component, a dispersant component, and at least one of a sheeting agent or a humectant. A method for forming a use composition is provided.

The shaped composition may include at least two different regions (e.g., layers), A dissolvable region includes a| functional agent (e.g.. an anti-nncrobial sanitizing agenfi A substantially non- dissolvable region is disposed adjacent to the dissolvable region (e.g., adjacent the bottom surface) so as to cover a bottom surface of the dissolvable region. The geometry of the shaped composition, as well as the presence of the substantially non-dissolvable region aids in providing a substantially uniform concentration of functional agent Itfroughoui the life of the dissolvable region.
