Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the field of embolic coil delivery. In particular, the present disclosure provides a delivery system that allows an embolic coil, retained on a delivery tube outside of the microcatheter, to be positioned within a target occlusion area of a patient prior to being controllably deployed, or retracted into the microcatheter for repositioning. The delivery system is particularly useful for minimizing embolic coil kickback.
