Abstract: An acoustic material for sound absorption and dampening includes a scrim layer and a spacer layer. In example forms, the scrim layer includes a micro porous film material and the spacer layer includes a foam material, with the scrim layer being adhered to the spacer layer by laminating the two together. Optionally, the scrim layer includes a melt blown polypropylene or polyethylene. In example embodiments, the melt blown polypropylene or polyethylene can be in the form of a film material or can be directly sprayed on to the spacer layer. Optionally, the scrim layer can further include one or more spun bond layers. In some example embodiments, the spacer layer can be formed from a nonwoven material.

Abstract: The invention relates to flexible geo-composites and a method for their production. Such geo-composites are multilayer geotextiles with a cementitious material. The multilayer comprises a non-woven fibrous top layer (16), a base layer (10) and a core layer (12) of cementitious material including cement between the top layer (16) and the base layer (10). A plurality of fibers of the top layer (16) penetrates the core layer (12) and is arranged on the base layer (10). The multilayer is flexible, configured to be curved in at least one direction and preferably in two directions, becomes rigid upon absorbing water. The cementitious material includes cellulose fibers, whose weight is at least 0.3% and does not exceed 5% of the weight of the cement of the cementitious material. Further, the core layer (12) of the multilayer may include solid admixtures and/or glycol-oil mixtures.
