Abstract:
A cell-pair specific measurement event configuration is provided. A first cell-pair specific parameter is included in a first condition to be met for triggering a measurement event report by a user equipment in a cellular communications network (S31), wherein the first condition includes measurements concerning a serving cell of the user equipment, wherein a dedicated value of the first parameter depends on a neighboring cell of the serving cell, which is taken for triggering the measurement even report. Dedicated values of the first parameter are assigned for each neighboring cell of the serving cell (S32), and the assigned dedicated values are set in the cell-pair specific measurement event configuration (S33). For triggering the measurement event report, the user equipment derives conditions including the first condition and the dedicated value for the neighboring cell taken for triggering the measurement event report from the cell-pair specific measurement event configuration.
Abstract:
It is described a method for optimizing a handover behavior of a mobile radio communication network (100) comprising at least a first base station (120, 320) and a second base station (130, 430). The method comprises (a) performing a handover of a user equipment (140) from the first base station (120, 320) to the second base station (130, 430), (b) adding an information element representing a property of the radio link between the user equipment (140) and the first base station (120, 320) to a data record (160, 260a, 260b, 260c) being associated with the user equipment (140), (c) transferring the data record (160, 260a, 260b, 260c) from the first base station (120, 320) to the second base station (130, 430) and (d) optimizing the handover behavior of the mobile radio communication network (100) based on the added information element. It is further described a first base station and a second base station, which in conjunction which each other, are configured for carrying out the described handover behavior optimization method.
Abstract:
There is provided a solution for co-operation in a relay- enhanced communication network, wherein the solution comprises receiving, by an auto-configuration apparatus, information about a preference of a relay node to co-operate with a selected base station, and automatically reconfiguring or initiating the reconfigure of the selected base station to serve the relay node as a donor base station when the selected base station does not currently support serving the relay node as the donor base station.
Abstract:
Method and apparatus thereof for load balancing in a radio communications system (1000) having a plurality of access nodes, comprising the steps of: - two access nodes (100-1, 100-2) of said plurality exchange cell load information; - a first access node (100-1) having spare capacity and accepting load balancing requests from said second access node (100-2) modifies a transmit power ratio between a data channel and a control channel such that load balancing is accomplished by handing over at least one user terminal or UE (10) to the access node (100-1) or cell re-selection of at least one user terminal or UE (10) to the access node (100-1).
Abstract:
A larger second bandwidth is fitted to a first transmission bandwidth by blanking PRBs at one or both edges of the larger second bandwidth. A first set of control channels is mapped to unblanked PRBs of the second bandwidth using a restricted set of physical cell identities that map only to the unblanked PRBs. A second control channel is punctured so that after it is interleaved and cyclically shifted the punctured CCEs fall on the blanked PRBs, and this second control channel is power compensated for the punctured CCEs. The first set and the second control channels are assigned in view of the puncturing and blanked PRBs, an IFFT for the larger second bandwidth is performed on a signal using zeros at the blanked PRBs, the signal is filtered to the first bandwidth and transmitted over a bandwidth not to exceed the first bandwidth.
Abstract:
Abstract:
