Abstract:
A one-piece squeeze and turn child resistant closure (1) for a container having a threaded neck and a top shoulder having a top surface with at least one locking recessed annulus slot or groove, the closure comprising a sidewall (3) of a rigid material, the sidewall further comprising at least one flexible panel (2) wherein, when depressed, allows the unscrewing of the closure from the bottle, wherein each flexible panel includes at least one vertical tab (4) that engages a corresponding locking recessed slot or groove of the container.
Abstract:
An ophthalmic dropper for distributing medicinal fluid to an eye is provided. The dropper comprises a fluid carrying container having a hollow body extending along a longitudinal axis, and an opening defined in the hollow body. A nozzle is coupled to the opening of the container for receiving fluid from the container. The nozzle defines an outlet port for distributing fluid from the nozzle. The outlet port of the nozzle is positioned to deliver fluid along an axis that is substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the container.
Abstract:
A container assembly including a container (102) and a cap (110) disposed on the container. The cap is movable between a closed condition and an open condition. The cap has two opposing side wall regions and an end region disposed between the two opposing side wall regions (144, 146). At least one of the side wall regions has a container-engaging portion movable (152, 154) between a closed position where the container-engaging portion engages the container to resist opening of the cap, and a second position where the container-engaging portion is disengaged from the container to allow opening of the cap. The end region of the cap is in a snap-fit relationship with the container. Also included is a cap having these features.
Abstract:
A bottle for packaging beverages for individual use, comprising a wide mouth container (3) and a closure lid (2); the container (3) having a neck with a circular opening; the closure lid (2) having a concentric inner skirt (24) and outer skirt (22); the container (3) and the closure lid (2) having corresponding fastening means for opening and closing the container; the corresponding fastening means respectively located on an inner circumferential area of the circular opening of the neck and on an outer circumference of the inner skirt (24); the outer (22) circumferential area of the neck being smooth; the outer diameter of the neck being equal to the inner diameter of the outer skirt (22), wherein the outer skirt (22) covers and protects the smooth outer circumferential area of the neck when the closure lid (2) is fastened to the container, the environment outside the bottle.
Abstract:
An applicator for applying a substance to an intended surface. The applicator may include a main body including an elongated handle and an elongated tip configured to hold a predetermined amount of the substance. Further, the applicator may include an extension which extends radially from the main body in an area proximate to where the handle meets the tip and a breakaway section including an elongated sleeve which extends in a direction perpendicular to at least a portion of the tip and extends from the extension in an area proximate to a terminal end of the extension. Further, the elongated tip may extend from the handle in an area proximate to where the extension extends from the main body. Additionally, the applicator may be a single, integral piece such that the handle, the elongated tip, the extension and the breakaway section are integral with each other.
Abstract:
An apparatus for dispensing a controlled dose of a substance wherein the apparatus includes a compressible tube portion, a tip portion extending from the tube portion sized to receive a substance to be dosed, and a breakaway portion being removably coupled to the tip portion. The breakaway portion reveals an aperture in the tip portion upon removal of the breakaway portion. Finally, a valve member is slidably disposed in the tip portion such that the valve member can be movable in response to fluid pressure and/or manual force application to urge the substance within the tip portion out of the aperture as a controlled dose.
