A method of producing blood products in vitro and a method of treatment are provided. The methods include culturing isolated non-SV40 transformed mesenchymal stem cells with growth factors for a time sufficient to produce at least one type of blood products. A method of differentiating mesenchymal cells is also provided. The method of differentiating mesenchymal cells includes culturing isolated non-SV40 transformed mesenchymal stem cells in vitro with growth factors and producing at least one blood cell product.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for purifying mesenchymal stem cells, producing cells corresponding to prior art, the cells obtained being characterised by an increased proliferation capacity while maintaining the multipotency and typical antigen characteristics. To this end, mesenchymal stem cells that can be multiplied in a significantly improved manner compared to prior art are first provided and can also be differentiated, after a longer cultivation period, in three mesenchymal directions.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the use of a tri-substituted glycerol compound for the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment of hematological malignancies. The invention also refers to a kit-of-parts comprising such a medicament. Finally, the invention also relates to a corresponding method for the treatment of such conditions as well as to an in vitro method for determining the susceptibility of such malignant cells to a medicament as defined in the invention.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Aufreinigung mesenchymaler Stammzellen, das dem Stand der Technik entsprechende Zellausbeuten liefert, wobei sich die erhaltenen Zellen durch eine gesteigerte Proliferationskapazität unter gleichzeitiger Beibehaltung der Multipotenz und der typischen Antigen-Charakteristika auszeichnen. Damit stehen erstmals mesenchymale Stammzellen zur Verfügung, die sich gegenüber dem Stand der Technik deutlich besser vermehren lassen und darüber hinaus auch nach längerer Kultivierung noch in drei mesenchymale Richtungen differenzieren lassen.
