摘要:
A timepiece case (11) and a method of manufacturing the case, the timepiece case comprising a timepiece case body (1) made of titan or stainless steel and a winding crown pipe (3) fixed to each other, wherein a winding stem hole (2) corresponding to the winding crown pipe (3) is formed in the timepiece case body (1), a small diameter part is formed in the winding crown pipe (3), and a small diameter part corresponding to the small diameter part of the winding crown pipe is formed in the winding stem hole (2), the method comprising the step of fitting the winding crown pipe (3) into the winding stem hole (2) in the timepiece case body (1) to form a solid phase diffusive connection part at a portion where the small diameter parts thereof are fitted closely to each other and to form a brazed connection part at a portion other than that where the small diameter parts are fitted closely to each other, whereby a timepiece external part having excellent corrosive resistance and waterproofness and a large number of design variations can be provided.
摘要:
A brazing filler metal which comprises, as main components, gold, silver, copper and an additive element comprising at least one element of aluminum, bismuth, gallium, germanium, indium, antimony, silicon, tin, lead, tellurium and thallium, wherein the additive elements in total account for more than 1 wt % and less than 36 wt % of the filler metal, and gold and silver account for less than 80 wt % and less than 42 wt %, respectively. The brazing filler metal can be used for joining a metal used for a member requiring ornamental appearance, such as stainless steel, at a low temperature sufficient to prevent the structure of the metal from becoming coarsened, while securing satisfactory resistance to corrosion and satisfactory joining strength.

A method for preparing a soft metal or an exterior part of a watch, which comprises forming a hard layer (3, 13) on the surface of a soft metal portion (2), wherein the hard layer comprises zirconium and molybdenum, or comprises zirconium and molybdenum and further comprises an added element comprising at least one element selected from among niobium, tantalum and titanium. When the hard layer (3, 13) consists of zirconium and molybdenum, the hard layer preferably contains 30 to 75 wt % of molybdenum, and when the hard layer also contains the added element, the hard layer preferably contains 25 to 65 wt % of molybdenum and added the elements in a total amount of 25 wt % or less.
