Abstract: A shaftless wind turbine (10) is provided which comprises a stator (12) including a stator frame (16) and a plurality of deflector blades (20) engaged with the stator frame (16); and a rotor (14) receivable within the stator (12) and rotatable relative thereto, the rotor (14) including a rotor frame (22) and a plurality of rotor blades (28) engaged with the rotor frame (22). The plurality of deflector blades (20) are arranged to direct incident wind towards the rotor (14), and the rotor blades (28) are arranged to be or substantially be tangentially-aligned to a rotational axis of the rotor (14).
