摘要： A method of making a customized orthodontic bracket includes steps of providing a pre-manufactured physical bracket body, providing a physical bracket base having a tooth facing side shaped according to of at least part of a patient's tooth, and joining the bracket body and at least a portion of the bracket base. The bracket base is provided using a material build-up process. The invention helps facilitating manufacturing of customized orthodontic brackets.

摘要： Provided are customized archwires that facilitate wire insertion into fixed appliances and sliding mechanics during the course of orthodontic treatment. These archwires are harmonized with lingual appliances by modifying the archwire shape to alleviate the adverse effects of bends and archwire length discrepancy while maintaining the overall archwire shape. This in turn can be accomplished by selecting one or more segments of an archwire shape from a library, strategically adjusting arch length, performing morphing or smoothing operations on a wire configuration intended for final occlusion, and combinations thereof.

摘要： A hand instrument for detaching orthodontic brackets from a patient's teeth has first jaw, a second jaw and a blade that extends between the first jaw and the second jaw. The blade is received in a channel of a bracket during a debonding procedure, and serves to releasably clamp mesial and distal sections of the bracket to the hand instrument as the sections are detached from the tooth.
