Abstract:
The present application is spacer knit construction including a first surface, a second surface, and spacer pole filaments connecting the first and second surfaces. The spacer knit construction is comprised at least partially of metallic wires.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a thermal insulation filling material. The thermal insulation filling material provided by the invention comprises loose fibers and spherical fiber assemblies, wherein a weight ratio of the loose fibers to the spherical fiber assemblies ranges from about 20:80 to about 80:20.
Abstract:
The present invention is a cleaning article including a filler and a wrapping at least partially surrounding the filler. At least one of the filler and the wrapping are composed of a sustainable material.
Abstract:
A cleaning sponge (100) with embedded clusters (120) for providing enhanced scouring is disclosed. In one embodiment, the cleaning sponge comprises a sponge body (110) and a plurality of discrete fiber clusters embedded within the sponge body. Each fiber cluster is a matrix of interconnected fibers (124). In one embodiment, each fiber cluster is a three dimensional web of entangled fibers (124) bonded to one another at their mutual contact points.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a cleaning tool, a cleaning sheet and method of removes debris, lint, or hair from a variety of surfaces. The cleaning tool is provided with a first array of stems and a second array of stems, wherein the first array of stems are smaller and more densely included on a cleaning surface of the cleaning tool. The larger stems are able to loosen and pull deeply embedded hair from loose fabric surfaces, while the smaller stems are able to capture and retain the loosened hair.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed at a hook mechanical fastener/fibrous composite comprising hook elements on hook containing backing elements or a netting embedded in a fibrous web. The hook elements preferably are on backing elements that are connected or integral and can be strands oriented at angles to each other in a net form. The backing elements generally have a first outer face and a second outer face. The backing elements on at least one of the first or second outer faces have a plurality of hook elements. The hook containing backing elements are embedded within a fibrous web, preferably by hydroentangling the fibers around the backing element, preferably without use of auxiliary attachment means such as adhesives or point bonding.
Abstract:
A blend of polyester staple fibers and insulation fill materials useful as a replacement for natural down in articles such as outdoor apparel, sleeping bags, bedding, etc. The blend includes first, second and optionally third polyester staple fiber formats that differing in terms of average diameter. A length of substantially all the fibers of the blend is in the range of about 16 to about 63 mm, alternatively 20 - 40 mm. At least a majority of the fibers of the blend are opened. In some embodiments, some or substantially all of the fibers of the blend are crimped and/or include a lubricant (e.g., siliconized). One non-limiting example blend includes 20 - 30 weight percent of not greater than 1 Denier fibers, 20 - 30 weight percent of greater than 1 up to 2 Denier fibers, and 40 - 60 weight percent of greater than 2 Denier fibers.
Abstract:
Dimensionally stable nonwoven fibrous webs include a plurality of fibers formed from one or more thermoplastic polyesters and an antishrink additive, preferably in an amount greater than 0% and no more than 10% by weight of the web. The webs have at least one dimension which decreases by no greater than 12% in the plane of the web when heated to a temperature above a glass transition temperature of the fibers. The webs may be used as wipes.
Abstract:
The disclosed cleaning article includes a working surface made from first ends of a plurality of channels and a capturing surface. The channels are formed from multiple strands of a skip-slit sheet, which in an initial state extend in a first direction and together define a plane. The multiple strands are attached to each other at bridging regions. At least some of the strands are spread from the initial state and separated from each other between the bridging regions to provide the plurality of channels, and at least some of the strands that are separated from each other are twisted out of the plane. A cleaning tool including the cleaning article, a method of making the cleaning tool, and a stack of skip-slit spunbond nonwoven sheets are also disclosed.
