A coil actuator for an associated switching device which can be actuated during its operation from an open position to a closed position so as to allow a current flowing therethrough and from the closed position to the open position so as to interrupt such current flowing. The coil actuator comprising: a coil electromagnet arranged to move between a rest position and an actuating position, wherein the movement from the rest position to the actuating position is suitable to cause the actuation of the switching device; electronic means arranged to count an operation time which is indicative of the duration of the actuation of the switching device.

A switching device for an electric circuit, the switching device comprising: - at least one phase having a movable contact which can be coupled to/separated from a corresponding fixed contact; - a kinematic chain operatively associated to the movable contact; - driving means adapted to move the kinematic chain between a first position and a second position for actuating the movable contact; and - control means adapted to control the driving means. The kinematic chain is adapted to reach the second position from the first position before reaching a dead-point position, and the control means are adapted to: - detect a loss condition of a power supply associable to and suitable for operating the switching device, while the kinematic chain is in the second position; and - control the driving means to move the kinematic chain away from the second position when the loss condition is detected, in such a way that the kinematic chain passes through the dead-point position and reaches a third position between the dead-point position and corresponding blocking means of the switching device.
Abstract:
A control system for an electrical switching apparatus adapted to be installed in a medium voltage or high voltage electrical circuit. The control system comprises: - at least a first module comprising first control means which are adapted to execute a first control logic, and a second module comprising second control means which are adapted to execute a second control logic; and - at least one communication bus. The first control means and the second control means are adapted to be operatively connected to the at least one communication bus, and to share values of variables associated to the first control logic and to the second control logic through the at least one communication bus.

A switch unit comprising a current switching device drivable by an electromagnetic actuator for opening/closing an electric circuit associated to the switch unit, energy storage means for storing electric energy for the electromagnetic actuator, electronic controller means which are supplied by an external power line and control a supply of the electric energy from the energy storage means to the electromagnetic actuator. The switch unit comprises emergency procedure operating means associated with the electronic controller means and provided with further energy storage means; the emergency procedure operating means are configured for enabling driving of the current switching device and opening the associated electric circuit in an emergency condition in which a lack or drop or irregular supply of the external power line is experienced.
