Abstract: A system is provided for retrieving efficiently water from a well. The system comprises: a collector operative to collect renewable energy and convert it into electrical energy; a positive displacement pump comprising a servo motor that is energized by the electrical power, adapted to be submersed in a well and retrieve water therefrom; an egress means adapted to convey water retrieved from the well; an electronic controller configured to adapt the electrical energy being retrieved from the renewable source with the power being consumed by the positive displacement pump; and an egress means adapted to convey water retrieved from the well. Optionally, the system further comprises a water storage means for holding water retrieved from that well.
