The invention relates to a drill bit (100) able to improve performance of drilling machine. 14. The drill bit (100) of the invention comprises a drill bit body (101) with a rear end (102) adapted to be connected to a drilling machine, and a leading end (103) with a flat face (103a) perpendicular to a longitudinal axis (X-X) of the drill bit body (101), said drill bit body comprising: - a first tapered portion (104) with diameters increasing from the flat face (103a) of the leading end (103) to a maximum diameter (Dmax), - a second tapered portion (105) with diameters decreasing from the maximum diameter (Dmax) to the rear end (102) of said drill body; - at least three partly-circular recesses (106) formed in said drill bit body thus delimitating as many tapered drilling faces (107), each of them extending from the flat face (103a) of the leading end (103) to the maximum diameter (Dmax); - the flat face (103a) and the tapered drilling faces (107) having a plurality of teeth (108).

The air nozzle of the invention for guiding a cut steel strip at the exit from a device for shearing a moving steel sheet, is essentially characterised in that it is made in one piece extending along a main plane (P) intended to be orientated perpendicularly to the direction of movement of the steel strip (F1), which air nozzle (10) comprises an air inlet channel (12) whose free end (14) is intended to be connected to a compressed air generator and whose opposite end divides at a deflection junction (13) into a first (11a) and a second (11b) air discharge channel facing each other on either side of the main plane (P), the free end (16) intended to be located close to the exit (6) from the shearing device (2) comprises a plurality of first air discharge orifices (14) orientated towards the second air discharge channel (11b) and in that the free end (17) of the second air discharge channel (11b) comprises a plurality of second air discharge orifices (15) orientated either in the opposite direction to the first air discharge channel (11a) or parallel to the main plane (P) such that none of the first (14) and second (15) air discharge orifices are orientated in the opposite direction to the direction of movement (F1) of the steel sheet (1).

A method for obtaining a parameter representative of a height (H) of an upper surface (29) of a material (20) stacked in a coke oven (10) with respect to a reference plane (P), comprising the following steps: - providing a sensor (47) located above the upper surface at an operation distance (D1) from the reference plane, the sensor and the material forming a capacitor having a capacitance, - obtaining at least one capacitance signal representative of said capacitance, - obtaining at least one distance signal (S2) using the capacitance signal, the distance signal being representative of a distance (D2) between the sensor and the upper surface along a vertical direction (Z), and - obtaining said parameter representative of the height using the distance signal and the operation distance.
