    Abstract: Technologies are disclosed for controlling the orientation of media content. Media content having a first orientation set at a media content device may be received by a first media control device. The media content may be displayed at the first media control device in the first orientation, and/or the media content may be sent to a second media control device in the first orientation. A transition to a second orientation of the media content may be detected. The second orientation may be set at the media content device. The second orientation of the media content may be different than the first orientation. The display of the media content on the first media control device may be dynamically adjusted from the first orientation to the second orientation, and/or the media content sent to the second media control device may be dynamically adjusted from the first orientation to the second orientation.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer readable media may be operable to facilitate a disabling of a remote control unit for a multimedia device. A multimedia device may be configured with a predetermined input for enabling/disabling an input interface of the multimedia device. An interface lock feature may be enabled at the multimedia device, and when the predetermined input is received at the multimedia device, an input interface of the multimedia device may be enabled or disabled. When the input interface of the multimedia device is disabled, a control device such as a remote control unit may be precluded from operating with the multimedia device.

    Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product for interactive commenting in an on-demand video includes a processor to receive an on-demand video file selection from a first user for display on a first user device. The processor can receive a first input from the first user via a first graphical user interface at a first time of the video file and determine a time interval of the selected video file associated with the first input. The processor can identify one or more second users on one or more second user devices within the time interval of the video file and display the first input from the first user to the one or more second users within the time interval of the video file on the one or more second user devices via one or more second graphical user interfaces over the video file.

    Abstract: An apparatus, method and computer-readable medium provide control of set top box volume based on mobile device events. The apparatus may execute a process that includes controlling a volume setting of an audio amplifier to output audio content to the one or more audio or audio/visual devices. A connection event signal from a mobile device is received via a wireless radio frequency receiver. The connection event signal indicates a call state of the mobile device. In response to receiving the connection event signal, a received signal strength indication associated with the connection event signal obtained. A volume setting that corresponds to the obtained received signal strength indication is determined. The volume setting output to the audio amplifier is adjusted according to the determined volume setting.
