The present invention is directed to a liquid, storage stable isocyanate composition (Q) comprising monomeric diphenyl methane diisocyanate (MDI) as component (q1) and an amide with a molecular weight of less than 200 g/mol as component (q2) in an amount of 0.1 to 5 wt.-% based on the sum of the weight of components (q1) and (q2) which adds up to 100 wt.-%, wherein the NCO-content is in the range of from 29.5 to 40.0 wt.-% based on the total weight of the respective isocyanate composition (Q). The present invention is also directed to a process for the manufacture of said liquid, storage stable isocyanate composition (Q) as well as the use of an amide with a molecular weight of less than 200 g/mol for the liquification of at room temperature solid isocyanates. Further, the present invention is directed to the use of an isocyanate composition (Q) of the invention for the synthesis of polyurethane foams, compact polyurethane elastomers or thermoplastic polyurethanes.

The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of an asphalt mix composition, said process comprising: (1) providing an asphalt composition and heating said composition to a temperature in the range of from 150 to 175 °C; (2) providing a granular material and heating said material to a temperature in the range of from 130 to 170 °C; (3) providing one or more thermosetting reactive compounds; (4) adding the one or more thermosetting reactive compounds provided in (3) to the asphalt composition obtained in (1) and homogenizing the mixture for a duration in the range of from 2 to 180 s; (5) adding the mixture obtained in (4) to the granular material obtained in (2) and homogenizing the slurry for a duration in the range of from 5 to 180 s, wherein the temperature of the resulting asphalt mix composition is in the range of from 130 to 155°C. Further, the present invention relates to an asphalt mix composition obtained or obtainable by said process and its use as well as a process for asphalting at reduced laydown temperatures.

The present invention relates to a method for joining a first metal pipe with a second metal pipe, the pipes being joined together in an overlapping area by use of a two- component polyurethane adhesive that encapsulates the overlapping area, wherein the method comprises the steps of: (1) applying the two-component polyurethane adhesive onto the inner surface of a fixture; (2) inserting one end of the first metal pipe into one end of the second metal pipe so as to form a pipe assembly having the overlapping area between the two ends, and putting the overlapping area of the pipe assembly into the fixture; (3) closing the fixture such that the overlapping area of the pipe assembly is fixed in the fixture, and that the adhesive therein encapsulates the overlapping area of the pipe assembly;(4) curing the adhesive; and (5) optionally, removing the fixture from the pipe assembly.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft Verfahren zur Herstellung von Polyurethan-Polyisocyanuratverbindungen, bei dem man Polyisocyanat (a) mit einer Mischung, erhältlich durch Einbringen eines Alkali- oder Erdalkalimetallsalzes in eine Urethangruppen enthaltende Verbindung R-NH-CO-R', wobei R ungleich Wasserstoff und ungleich COR'' ist (b), eine oder mehrere Epoxidgruppen enthaltende Verbindungen (c) und eine oder mehrere Verbindungen mit mindestens zwei gegenüber Isocyanat reaktiven Gruppen, enthaltend Verbindungen mit NH 2 und/oder primären OH-Gruppen (d) sowie gegebenenfalls Füllstoffe und weitere Additive (e) zu einer Reaktionsmischung vermischt und zu der Polyurethan-Polyisocyanuratverbindung ausreagieren lässt, wobei der molare Gehalt an Alkali- und/oder Erdalkalimetallionen in der Reaktionsmischung pro mol Urethangruppe in der Verbindung (b) 0,0001 bis 3,5 beträgt und der Isocyanatindex größer als 150 ist. Weiter betrifft die vorliegende Erfindung ein Verfahren zur Herstellung solcher Polyurethan-Polyisocyanuratverbindungen sowie deren Verwendung zur Herstellung von Fahrzeugteilen.
