Abstract: Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Aktivierung eines Katalysators für eine katalytische Reformierung, die insbesondere unter Umsatz von Kohlenstoffdioxid durchgeführt wird, bei dem für eine Aktivierungszeit ein Dampf und Wasserstoff enthaltendes Aktivierungsgas bei einer Aktivierungstemperatur über den zu aktivierenden Katalysator geführt wird. Das Aktivierungsgas weist 10 bis 30 mol-% Wasserdampf, 40 bis 60 mol-% Wasserstoff und 20 bis 40 mol-% eines oder mehrerer Inertgase auf.
