Abstract: A gas recombination cap according to the invention is to be used to reduce gas emissions and water losses during the operation of a battery, and especially an acid lead battery. A gas recombination cap is characterized by a structure comprising a basket (1) with openings, a body (2), a condensation cylinder (9), and a top cap (14), wherein the condensation cylinder (9) has a catalytic core (5) with a catalyst (6) and an adsorbent (7), a drip cap (11 ), a two-way valve (12), an ignition safety device (13).
