Abstract: A device (1) for connecting/disconnecting batteries for a DC bus (103) of an uninterruptible power supply or UPS (100), comprising at least one pair of identical batteries (4a, 4b) connected in series, so as to have a common node (F) at one of their poles, wherein the other pole of each one of the batteries (4a, 4b) is connected in series, or by means of a battery charger, to a respective connection/disconnection assembly (3a, 3b), each assembly comprising a pair of one-way switches (31a, 32a) which are mutually connected in parallel and so as to conduct current in mutually opposite directions.
