Abstract: Tissue Clipping Apparatus comprises Clip including a proximal end received within a capsule. Clip includes a clip locking member biased to engage a first locking structure of the capsule to lock Clip in the capsule in a closed configuration. Apparatus also comprises a tension member releasably coupling Clip to a proximal end of the device which, during use, remains accessible to a user. The tension member is coupled to Clip by a joint designed to release when subject to a predetermined load to separate Clip from the device, release of the joint releasing the locking member to engage the first locking structure.

Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods for facilitating access to the pancreaticobiliary system are disclosed. In particular, the present disclosure relates to devices used to apply suction to the papilla, e.g., duodenal tissue surrounding the papilla, to facilitate cannulation to reach the bile duct and/or pancreatic duct. Devices may include a suction cup or an endoscope cap configured to apply suction to a tissue surface.
