Abstract: A method for providing remote visibility into a simulation environment, comprising: establishing over a secure public network a connection between a first videoconferencing client running on a first computer and a second videoconferencing client running on a second computer; receiving at the first computer a first live camera feed encompassing a first portion of the simulation environment over a secure private network, the second computer being located outside of the secure private network; displaying within a viewer the first live camera feed and a simulation control interface, a representation of a second portion of the simulation environment and/or a second live camera feed encompassing a third portion of the simulation environment; and granting the second videoconferencing client visual access to the viewer application through the first videoconferencing client.

Abstract: There is provided a computer-implemented method for remotely pointing to a region of interest within a simulation environment, the process comprising the steps of: receiving coordinates of at least one point selected within a given image of at least a portion of the simulation environment, the given image being displayed on a display unit; identifying a region of interest within the simulation environment based on the received coordinates of the at least one point; and providing control signals to a projector to visually distinguish the region of interest within the simulation environment.
