摘要： A device for removing carbon dioxide or other gases from the atmosphere, wherein said device comprises: a first reservoir containing a first medium and first temperature 5 control means for maintaining a temperature of said first medium at a first temperature value; a second reservoir containing a second medium, and second temperature control means for maintaining a temperature of said second medium at a second temperature value; 10 wherein the first temperature value is arranged to be higher than the second temperature value; a thermally conducting bar extending between said first reservoir and said second reservoir, wherein a firsts end of said bar is in contact with said first medium and a second end of said bar is in contact with 15 said second medium, and wherein the outer surface of said bar between the first reservoir and the second reservoir is almost entireley provided with a thermal insulation layer; such that when said first temperature value and said second temperature value are maintained by said first temperature control 20 means and said second temperature control means a thermal gradient is maintained in said bar inside said thermal insulation layer; wherein at a location between the first reservoir and the second reservoir the thermal insulation layer on said bar surface is not present and a thermally conducting body is connected with said 25 thermally conducting bar; and a matter removal device is arranged near said thermally conducting body and arranged to remove liquified or solidified matter from said thermally conducting body.
